What is a slide-and-hide oven door?

A retracting oven door (offered by NEFF, Miele, and others) that slides under the oven cavity instead of swinging open. It provides full, unobstructed access to the entire oven opening — essential in layouts where an adjacent island or base cabinet would otherwise be blocked by a swinging door. The cabinet carcass requires a flush-finished interior floor so the door mechanism glides cleanly underneath.
